BEW Consulting & Training LLC is a specialized professional development consultancy service founded by Dr. Brooke Wachtler

Brooke's career in psychology began when she developed an interest in how and why people interact and behave the way that they do. This interest led her to the George Washington University where she majored in psychology. She then went on to earn her M.S. and Psy.D. degrees in School Psychology from St. John’s University. Pursuing her interest in clinical psychology, Brooke’s graduate training included completing a pre-doctoral externship and fellowship at the Albert Ellis Institute, where she also earned her certification as a Rational- Emotive and Cognitive Behavior Therapy supervisor. Brooke’s other professional roles have included providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services in general and special education schools, as well as consulting for clinical research studies.

Working as a clinical psychologist, Brooke found that no matter why a client originally sought therapy, the topic of work stress was almost always discussed. Brooke began thinking- why only provide intervention after the stress has occurred if I could be providing prevention for work-related stress? Why not make these skills more accessible? That's when Brooke decided to provide skills-training in the exact place where people were experiencing the stress – the workplace.

Brooke is a New York State licensed psychologist and holds a New York State certification as a school psychologist. Today, she is applying her knowledge and understanding of motivation, emotions, behavior, and personality to business, specifically to leadership and innovation. She is passionate about helping people change their thought processes, actions, and behaviors to assist them in reaching their professional and personal goals.
